The Mound in Angola

In downtown Angola is what some would call a round-about.  Here we call it the Mound because it's the highest point in downtown.  Indianapolis calls what it has The Circle or The Monument Circle.  There is a monument in the center of the Mound dedicated to those who fought in the Civil War from Steuben County.  There were a lot of those folks who did that.  I think we had the highest percentage of any county in Indiana.  Anyway, this is the way the Mound looked on 31 March 2011.  The third photo is the courthouse.

Trees upon trees

Snow through the pines on the deciduous trees behind.  I like the effect.

Tree, contrail and blue sky

I love trees, especially without leaves.  This one happened to appear with a reminder that we who live in Northern Indiana are the "fly over people".

The walking path near sundown

When the weather permits we walk this path in Angola between Commons Park and the Middle School.

Could this be Alvin?

If the camera is handy when a critter stands still it is fun to capture him or her.
